A public park Morrab Gardens features luxurious sub-tropical plantings just off the town center. The gardens continue to give the town its identity, and local residents get a sense of civic pride from the attraction. The original plantings came as gifts from local estates. Today, you'll enjoy peaceful meanderings among the greenery, taking advantage of the Cornish climate and a chance to walk and sit in a place with proud history. Morrab Gardens reviews
A nice surprise in Penzance that didn't cost a dime. Nice walking trail through a well manicured garden. more »
An exceptional garden with many historic plants linking to the 19th c. House (now a library). Well worth a visit. more »
An oasis of green with paths meandering around pools. Between town and promenade for a peaceful rest and reflection. more »
Well worth a visit if you're down in Penzance for the day. The exotic plants don't feel as though they belong in England, let alone Cornwall so it's really beautiful to see. The park is always clean and well maintained, and all of the local dog walkers passing through are friendly.
Peaceful gardens, tucked away from the hustle and bustle. Newly discovered today, beautiful plants and shrubs, I'll definitely make a point of visiting again
Gorgeous space with loads of benches and other places to relax. Very well kept with not just tropical plants but also animals such as squirrels and hedgehogs. It's very quiet and peaceful; a perfect place to relax, draw, read or stroll about in.
A hidden and stunning gem in all seasons: in spring, the wonderful collection of Rhododendron, Camellias and Magnolias are in full bloom - lookout for the rare lime Magnolia. In the summer, the lush green vegetation and large palm fronds offer the perfect shade for the bandstand performances. Winter comes late to Penzance and the garden maintains its deep greens - always a tonic and respite from winter.
Shane it's shut when it gets late. Wonderful Victorian sub-tropical gardens with plenty of nooks and crannies to go with the space, good for dogs too
