  • We attended in the evening, our 4 year old daughter did some crafts first and was called to meet Father Christmas, we went up a beautifully lit path to a little room, she had to knock on the wardrobe ...  more »
  • We were 2 adults and 2 children. We started by visiting the Museum of the toy, not very extensive, showing toys, dolls, dolls houses and other related. At the end we had a climax: the lady who was responsible in the entrance, which had a similar amazing and not only physical with Angela Lansbury, headed to our children with a voice soft and mysterious, explaining a paper with light toy. By the way of exposing it, I don't know if liked more to my children or to us. It was like a small play in private, thanks to this lady that made it so special. A real plus. Then we went to the House, quite focused firstly on location for several series or movies have been. A friendly volunteer introduced in house, offering us a guide in Spanish. The House pretty well. Stroll through the magnificent gardens, which were not in all its splendor, which was August and which had already been many days a splendid time and perhaps too much sun. The enclosure has great playground that children enjoyed enormously, after having swallowed the historical part of this place. The coffee that we took while on the banks opposite the Park was pretty bad and expensive. I do not recommend it. Altogether, a good visit about 3 hours and average, with a variety of things to see and do.

  • Great for a day out. Not too crowded so great for small picnics and almost solitary walks around its many apple gardens. The mansion itself has a rich history and is not too large , can be easily explored within an hour. The cafe at the entrance serves great cakes.
  • Not a very large house so it doesn't take long to look around. There is someone on duty in each room to answer questions. A good restaurant attached to the house as well as one near the car park. Gardens fairly formal and weren't at their best when we went in September.
  • Great for whole family. Have been coming to penshurst for years. It is a good day out. Plenty of playground things for children, a woodland trail to explore. Beautiful gardens. In the school holidays there are normally extra things on, which are normally included in admission. Things like the maize maze, plays and crafts. Well worth a trip.
  • Had a lovely day out here. Great play area for kids, beautiful house & gardens. Plus the maize maze was fun. Staff all very nice & helpful. We will definitely been coming back :)
  • There is a lovely cafe with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. There is also an amazing adventure playground for the kids, which is worth getting the annual membership for.
