I visited your site for a long weekend on Friday 9th June (pitch 66). I was very impressed. It's a clean quiet site, very friendly and welcoming staff. Facilities are great - on site shop, hot & cold food stall was great especially if you cannot be bothered to cook nice, clean and spacious toilet and shower blocks, not many campsites offer free shower gel in the shower cubicles, the on-site freezer is very handy especially in the warmer months, I also found it very handy that two local takeaways deliver to your tent. the four fishing pools are lovely, two decent sized playgrounds for the children to play on, I would highly recommend people to visit this site. The only recommendation I have is that the shower temperature is turned down as it was too hot. I'll definitely be returning for a second visit very soon.
Terrible experience this Easter. We arrived only to be told the site was totally flooded so we were put in a side field well away from the parks for the children which I understand they can't control the weather but they could of called us to let us know the situation before we arrived. The guy that directed us on site was very abrupt from the start telling us children are to be supervised on the parks at all times (which we noticed other people's were not) Speeding was an issue on site as there was a tractor constantly whizzing up and down raking the path, therefore we couldn't let our daughter ride her bike. As many people were leaving those of us that were left felt that the maintenance of facilities was very poor. The toilet wasn't cleaned for over 24 hrs and the takeaway was hardly ever open. No refund or reduced rate was offered for this appalling weekend. A simple phone call would of saved us much misery.
Normally I go to the units to collect pallets for delivery but there is a very good campsite with fishing pools we used to go there a lot when we had a campervan and you can get take away meals delivered there...
