  • A beautiful place to spend a few hours wandering round with a photo opportunity around every corner. Lovely lunch and cakes in the cafĂ©. I also enjoyed the carved wood furniture exhibition. Really special.
  • The Glasgow Garden Walks Group visited on February 9 2017. The garden was fabulous with magnificent trees on a grand scale. We loved the Douglas Fir and Giant Redwood. The swathes of snowdrops along the burn were beautiful too. The scientific experiments with lichens were interesting and could have passed as works of art. We loved the tea room and visitors centre. Scones to enjoy ... date and walnut. Delicious soup for lunch to warm us up. The exhibition of furniture in the style of the late Tim Stead is outstanding. I want the dining table and chairs! A great day out for all seventeen of us!
  • Wonderful garden, great staff. Their opening hours vary throughout the year but the Google website shows only one one lot of info. So I've attached a photo showing the opening hours for the year.
  • Stunning garden hidden away from the city with an excellent cafe and interpretation centre. Well worth several visits throughout the year.
