Waterside Holiday Park Reviews
Really enjoyed our stay at this caravan park in Paignton. The only huge down side was the weather!! The caravan had all the amenities you could want although we were in an 8 berth and there were 5 adu... more »
A lovely caravan park which has the steam railway running beside it. Very handy for public transport - the bus stop is right outside the park, and it's easy to get to Brixham, Torquay and Paignton tow... more »
Handy location with the coastal paths to Paignton and Brixham at the edge of the park, this combined with the bus stops right outside meant we could leave the car parked up for our stay. We were disap... more »
We were moved from riviera bay to here. The caravan we were given was lovely as was gold and had great views. The only down sides to this site was the parking and the steps to get to your caravan and the pub on site was closed half the time and no indoor pool so not much to do but there's a pub up the road that serves lovely food I would say book if you want to eat in there as gets busy
Small but good facilities. Could use an indoor pool and the smugglers should start serving food earlier than 5pm. Bingo very good prize money. Caravan very clean and up to date. No view of the sea though. Think maybe those views are saved for owners. Would return and kids loved it.
Considering what we had to pay for a caravan the first week in July I was expecting a bit more than the budget van we got. However we picked the half board option which was really good! Could have done with a vegetable option instead of chips but the standard of food was good
Booked to stay here privately rather than direct with the park. Definitely worth the small upgrade fee to access the pool and entertainment (it was something like £7 each for the entirety of the stay). The food here is a little pricy and the club house could do with being modernised or at least painted a little but for the money we paid, I can't complain. Lovely sea views with a steam train passing several times daily. Well connected for access to loads of amenities with a shop and food outlets in walking distance. All in all a good family holiday but would advise eating off site to save a few pennies!
Had a great holiday here, there are local bus stops right outside the campsites. It's walking distance to a lovely beach. There is an outdoor swimming pool that has a large pool and a baby pool with a seating area for you to watch. There's a small park within the camp site and they also have a small shop. There is a club house that does Bingo and kids, family and adult entertainment. The only downside is that the entertainment is quite loud and can be heard throughout the campsite

Where to stay in Paignton
A room near the harbor provides a view over the water. However, a historical cottage outside the town center may be the ideal getaway. A cottage offers seclusion, within walking distance of the town's main attractions.
