Where to stay in Paignton

A room near the harbor provides a view over the water. However, a historical cottage outside the town center may be the ideal getaway. A cottage offers seclusion, within walking distance of the town's main attractions.

  • I was here on 31 July 2016. It was a really nice day! My friends and I had a pretty good time here. We were here mostly for the slides, and I have to say they didn't disappoint in excitement! Though, after having gone down every slide 5-10 times, they get a bit boring - which is not that weird. Besides the slides there's really not that much to do here. There's a small pool you can swim in, but proper swimming isn't really possible. This pool is usually also quite crowded, which is a shame, as I love just swimming and floating around. Great place to go with kids, especially ones that never seem to get tired (I think that's all of them..).
  • Peaceful but not too quiet.nice cafe at end of beach.good prices, hot food, wine, beer.etc
  • Brilliant fun. Water is really warm but borrow free wetsuits from them and you'll stay warm whilst walking the steps
  • Hey! This place is great! Or "sick" as the teens say! The rides were exhilarating and the queue wasn't absolutely terrible. People pushed in rudely and would not apologise. That it their sole fault. Not Splashdown. The facilities were dark. Could be more lit up. We met a lovely family waiting for the gates to open. I ❤ the devil's drop! So cool. Even the parent adults screamed! It was very safe. The ring rides are so funny! I'm quite small so I nearly fell through the ring! 😂 Maybe make differing sizes? Parking was good. Dying to go back! 😃
  • Excellent venue great for a full day if the weather is right the rides are awesome and there are rides for all abilities. The pools also accommodate young children as well as adults and you can purchase drinks and snacks a great family day out
