  • Wow birds of prey demonstrations were amazing .all the animals looked well cared for and the grandchildren thoroughly enjoyed the day
  • Went to the zoo today, sadly many parts were being refurbished, including the lemur woodlands which meant many of the animals were put off from behaving as they normally would due to the noise! The re...  more »
  • Visited here on Tuesday 17 January. Superb place in the winter. Lovely and quiet. Staff seem very happy and nothing is too much trouble. The guinea fowl made my day....Sooooo funny.

  • Was on holiday from Scotland with wife and 2 kids and we visited Paignton Zoo. It's well worth the price to get in. Spent 5hours + and we still didn't see it all. Probably 1 of the best zoo's I've been to. Only problem I had was that the big silver back gorilla wasn't there but over all well worth the money and time for a visit. Good family day out with friendly and helpful staff. Animals were clean and happy so well done all involved who help out at the zoo. Will be back . 10/10
  • As a family living locally we are season ticket holders. The children love it here, not solely for the animals as there are a few play parks where they can get up to controlled mischief. There is also an indoor soft play area for the days where it is too wet to walk around the zoo which is great. I have given 4 stars because of my ethical stance on animals being kept in cages, but this isn't the place for a rant. It's a lovely, large, clean zoo with plenty to do for all ages. And as an added. Onus the cafe serves beer. ๐Ÿ˜€
  • I'm not normally a fan of the zoo but we took our son here and we had a brilliant time. I though it wouldn't take long to go around but we were there for 6 hours and the time flew by. I would recommend the zoo to others. We had it recommended to us and I thank the randomers in the pub that suggested it. Definitely worth a visit if you have kids.
  • Fantastic place for kids. My girls love it. There is so much to see and they love the play areas. You can spent hours here and walk for miles without realising it. Living locally means we are there quite often and the annual pass means we have local unlimited access to this place and the coastal zoo in Torquay. You soon make your money back.
  • Absolutely brilliant. Been here when I was little with my mum and dad. Come back now to experience the whole zoo again now that I'm older and well I couldn't think off a better way to spend the day. My favourite part would have to be when the lion, the lioness and the lion cubs were all awake and came up close to the fence. Got some amazing picture. Definitely not a day I'll forget ๐Ÿ˜€
