  • Really good day out. Weather was hit and miss but timed it right and we managed to get round the whole zoo. Great to see the animals and listen to the zoo workers talk about them.
  • Good points: The playground is excellent. The lavatories are clean (which makes a change in the U.K.). The animals are in large enclosures and the displays are inventive. The zoo keepers are very knowledgable about their animals, friendly and chatty. Plenty of parking Bad points: We paid £41.25 plus £5 "donation" (what's the entry fee for?) so total was £46.25. Expensive. You have to then pay extra for the train ride (£2.40 for three tickets and not worth it except to satisfy the locomotive interest of a three year old) which I would have thought would be free, having already spent the best part of £50 for three; two adults and a child to go in. Not many of the animals were on display due to them giving birth or work being done in their enclosures. Some of the animals are too far away to get a good look at them as there is a moat around them. Food: I can't comment on the food as we didn't eat there because it's hideously expensive and not very healthy, but I'm not surprised there is an obesity crisis in the U.K. when you have an offer such as the one in their pizza restaurant which gives you a 1.5l bottle of Pepsi free of charge when buying a 12" pizza. Free Evian would be better.
  • Alot to see and do, especially for kids! Signage could be improved and made clearer but the map makes up for that. Very sweet little train ride for kids to enjoy, with a whirlwind tour of exhibits. Roaming peacocks also add a bit if excitement although the male's were slightly more aggressive then I would have liked.
  • "PAINGTON ZOO" Wildlife Park has acres of paths leading to the animals, who represent many areas of "THE WORLD" and differing habitats. From open ponds to stone peeks to tropical aviaries to desert terrain. A great place to photograph rarely seen animals in natural open scenic enclosures. Animal births occur here regularly, thanks to the dedicated, knowledgeable, full time and volunteer staff...........Other attractions can be found to keep the young people happy.........Eating places include a Restaurant. Go and visit the "MANED WOLF " - "TIGERS" - "BABOONS" - TROPICAL BIRDS" - "REPTILES" - "MONKEYS" and "GORILLAS"............. " CAPTURE THAT ANIMAL IN THAT SPECIAL PHOTOGRAPH"........"CLOSE YOUR EYES AND LISTEN TO THOSE LIONS ROARRRRRRR".....'you can hear them as far away as Clennon Valley'…."WOW"............
  • Lovely place for a family day out. The staff are lovely, the entrance fare is reasonable. No need to worry about lunch, as there is a cafe. So many animals to see, really lovely environment
  • A huge zoo and worth every penny. So nice staff always doing talks. Make sure you arrive early so you don't miss any of the feeds. So many animals and more than enough to take a full day of your time
