  • Good for toddlers, took my 7 year old here not long ago and although the walk around the woods is nice the farms tiny and there was just two sheep at the time and not much else to see so not a good idea for her! It's a lovely place though with a cafe and a greenhouse, little playground etc just not a place for a day out, more a little mosey
  • We enjoy bringing our grandson here so he can see the animals and let off steam on the walks or in the park. The community gardens are good to as we can show him different vegetables and fruits as they occur in nature. On our last visit we saw that the bees from the apiary had started to build a nest in one of the apple trees (see photo) and this was fascinating to watch. Previous visits have allowed our grandson to see frog spawn and tadpoles, sit in the bird watching hide and watch various birds, including pheasants, feeding along with the odd squirrel or two. Charlie still loves 'driving' the old tractor in the cafe garden, more so than playing on the swing net and other activities. The cafe do a great range of food but some things are expensive, partly due to a portion of their revenue being donated to charity. The quality of the food is very good though and the staff are friendly. Good family time in the outdoor environment but with clean and modern amenities on hand. Best of all, there is no charge to walk around the farm and its tracks so we don't mind paying the extra when we use the cafe.
  • Teach children to love the animals and then have them eat them in your restaurant..? What sort of mixed message is that?!!
  • Great place to go with the kids. They often have trails (E.g Halloween/ easter) which the kids love
  • Hugely disappointing visit and wouldn't recommend. No farm animals and the Devon Cream Tea was shameful for £4.95 per serving especially compared to others locally. I flat scone with tea. Most places give you two for that. We would recommend Canon teign falls instead.
