  • Interesting place to look around. Great guided tour which takes a good hour. The garden were beautiful full of bluebells and wild garlic. They have a small cafe if you want to sit and have a coffee.  more »
  • They were making a film when we visited but still worth going to, quirky inside, lovely guide who was very interesting to listen to  more »
  • In the charming Manor House, Pilcher are always made films. The House itself is still inhabited, so that it can be visited only with a guide. The German-language guide was interesting, but mainly focused on the family's history.

  • Only visited the gardens as we had a dog with us and they are not allowed in the house. £4 to visit which was okay. Lovely restored gardens. Some formal and some less so. Beautiful herd of fallow deer in separate enclosure. With entry fee was also able to visit old stable block with exhibitions. Also old dairy. Small tea shop which was a little pricy. Spent about 1 hour. A pleasant afternoon.
  • Only called in for lunch but it was lovely. Great to be served by more mature ladies who know how to prepare and serve food. Table and crockery etc all prestine. Food excellent quality
  • Excellent Guide & Tour. If your into your history and culture then I would highly recommend going on the guided tour of the house. If not then the gardens are lovely to walk around. They also offer afternoon tea.
  • Had afternoon tea which was very tasty and generous portion - scones were tip top. Lovely views too. Unfortunately, some of the staff were very rude (not all of them, our server was a gem). Very condacending and snooty. If you can put up with that then it's well worth a trip
  • Don't know about the house, as we only visited the grounds - barely worth the trip in my view. Deer feeding was worth seeing though.
