Padstow Harbour, Padstow

4.3
Numerous bars, shops, and restaurants attract thousands of visitors to Padstow Harbour, a small fishing port made famous by celebrity chefs Rick Stein and Paul Ainsworth. Walk around the area to observe and photograph an idyllic scene of fishing and pleasure craft rocking side by side on their moorings, as local children fish for crabs from the harbor wall. Several popular quayside inns and cafes overlook the calm waters, drawing both residents and tourists to drop by for an evening meal and a few drinks with friends, just as the sun sets over the harbor. Located just north of this area, a convenient visitor center offers various tourist services, information, and maps of the harbor and the surrounding region. • Always a fascinating place to visit. So much going on and plenty of places to enjoy. Surrounded by beautiful countryside
  • Lovely for a walk and a browse, as well as catching crabs in the harbour with the kids. Padstow is not quite the quaint picturesque seaside village it used to be as most of the lovely souvenir shops have now been priced out and replaced by big brand chains.
  • Stunning place the harbour area is always busy regardless of the time. Plenty of places to eat and drink. Great for grabbing with the kids
  • Nice walk around with different shops to look at. It was raining when we went and we enjoyed it so I am sure if it was sunny it would be even nicer
  • Beautiful old world harbour. Very busy though. Good fish and chips, pasties and ice cream.
