  • Stopped in for lunch on a busy and rainy Saturday afternoon. Everywhere was really busy and stepping in this lovely but fairly small pub didn't seem the best idea but we got lucky and nabbed a table. The beer (Sam Smiths) is good and reasonably priced (for Oxford). We ordered food and although we were warned there was a delay the wait wasn't too bad. All of the group enjoyed their meals - fish and chips, chilli and rice - all was very good. The atmosphere in the pub is good, the service is helpful and friendly, and the fare we tried was all excellent.
  • A great Sam Smiths pub. Cask offering is limited, however the Sam Smiths keg offering is pretty good. Although I am a little puzzled at why Sam Smith bottled beers are more expensive to purchase (in their own pubs) than other free house pubs that also sell Sam Smiths bottled beers. Haven’t tried the food yet but it did look appetising!
  • Could have been better had it all been open when we arrived before noon. Down stairs is a nice little bar. Hopefully they opened the rest later.
  • Proper pub! Good beer, good food and plenty of good natured chat. They do some nice pies including veggie options and cook the vegetables to my taste - with a bit of crunch in them. Also some Sam Smith's Tadcaster ale.
  • Amazing Sam Smith's pub! Especially upstairs is nice and cosy with dark wooden finish and true English pub feel. The apricot beer is amazing (if a tad pricey)!
