A Genuine Free House Pub with a Very Warm Welcome

- or, a Pub with Personality. Take your pick

Nestled in the Hamlet of Littleworth less than five miles from the centre of the Historic City of Oxford, at the bottom of the ancient Shotover Hill near the former London to Oxford turnpike, lies The Cricketers Arms - An unspoilt Free House Pub: "The Little Pub with the BIG Welcome".

Close to Oxford and the M40 and A40 transport links, on the National Cycle Route 57 and just 10 minutes walk from the 280 and U1 bus routes, The Cricketers Arms, Littleworth is an ideal meeting place, whether you are travelling by Car, Bus, Bicycle or Walking in the picturesque Oxfordshire Countryside.

The Cricketers Arms offers great value traditional Home Made Pub Food. In the evening and at weekends, we have a selection of Main Meals. Did we mention that our chips are proper chips - hand peeled and hand cut for that extra special specialness and that we have a great Vegetarian selection.

We can sum up our Real Ale selection in one word: "Local". All our Real Ale comes from within a thirty six mile radius of the pub, direct from whichever local brewery it comes from, so it's as fresh and tasty as it possibly can be. As a Genuine English Freehouse Pub, The Cricketers Arms offers two Local Guest Ale pumps and with a small range of Local Bottled Ales, Local Real Cider, a selection of New World Wines and a with a full range of spirits, San Miguel Lager, Stowford Press Cider and John Smith Smooth, there's always something to suite your palette.

  • Nice traditional pub. Lovely beer garden with mature trees. It has a slide, swing and loads of room for kids to play. Drink prices are reasonable. Lager was nearly a pound cheaper than most Oxford pubs. Reasonable food choice with several vegetarian options. Friendly staff, first time I've been called love since moving from Northern England to Oxford.
  • Lovely food. Relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Kim and the team are brilliant! You can sit in this pub alone and feel welcomed by all.
