Where to stay in Oxford

An inexpensive alternative to Oxford's pricey hotels, historical college room lodgings provide visitors with an opportunity to experience the city's old-world academic atmosphere without having to pass exams. Offering more than just comfortable beds and warm meals, centrally located college B&Bs provide visitors with a glimpse into the ancient world of Oxford academia. These rooms are mainly available during school vacations, when students clear out of their dormitories. At other times of year, explore the varied world of Oxford's elegant hotels and private guesthouses.

  • This weekend, in a 5m portable dome, I delivered 25 performances of my entertainment event Dome Club to 650 guests at the New College Commemoration Ball. A big thank you to Rory and his planning committee colleagues, who were professional and highly organised from the beginning and very helpful on the night. The 650 guests who visited the dome were polite and well-behaved despite the long queues. I wish there was room for a larger dome, so that everyone could have enjoyed the Dome Club experience. Thank you New College Commemoration Ball for another very pleasant digital dome booking.
  • Beautiful place to visit. There is so much things to see.
  • Great atmosphere of the grounds. If you're able to eat here, exquisite food! Interesting acoustic effect: go to the steps of the mound and clap
  • Very interesting
  • Definitely worth a visit, stay at one of the colleges, watch a song.
