  • This beautiful College is a 25-30-minute walk from City Centre. From the City Centre, you can get to Lady Margaret Hall by the side of Oxford Parks University and just through the park. However, it's hard to tell how you can get from the park to Lady Margaret Hall for the first time, so it's a good idea to take the road from Parks Road to Northam Gardens. Because the history is shallower than college which is located in the center, this college is the atmosphere which went back in time in the 19th century. Take the streets of Northam Gardens to Lady Margaret Hall's Poter's Lodge. You can also stay in the dormitory when the university is closed. Not only is it the beauty of the building and the campus, but it is also a college where you can feel the history of women's education. It's a little walk from the center, but i think it's still well worth the visit.

  • Best gardens of any college and right on Oxford University Park. Good balance between manicured gardens and wild areas. You can even walk on the grass!  more »

  • One of the friendlier, more welcoming colleges. Beautiful grounds running down to the Cherwell. Loved to see how they’ve changed the “sterile” quad grass that many colleges in Oxford have into a beautiful wildflower meadow. Such a nicer welcome to the college and a better example of its values to the world.
  • Gertrude Bell was here! Visited once and had a lovely Sunday brunch with friends in its beautiful garden.
