  • Somewhat hidden inside the old market/county hall, there is a bit of a climb up several flights of stairs to get to the museum. But, it is so worth it. The first gallery covers pre-history, the build ...  more »
  • Small but informative museum with lots of locally relevant exhibits. Child freindly but lots of steps. Definately worth a visit if you are in the area.  more »

  • Really nice place. Carefully looked after. Reserve couple of hours, you won't be disappointed.
  • Modest sized museum with county, town and hall history. When you've seen the MG BGT, make sure you look out for the view showing the car being installed in there museum. Museum free, but £2 charge for roof visit which is worth it.
  • Lovely old building with great views from the roof. The museum, although small, has plenty to see and discover -- one could easily loose a few hours browsing and reading. Staff were very friendly, knowledgeable and proud of the their museum and town. It was a delight to visit. Thank you.
  • Great little town hall and they throw buns from the top once a year
