Stumbled on this searching things to do and it is well worth a visit. You have to pay £1 donation per person but you have so many sculptures to see. Never used the cafe but what i did see looked out. ...  more »

Popped in for lunch to break up our journey back from Wales. This attraction claims to be free, but we were physically stopped from getting to the café until we surrendered £1 per person for charity, ...  more »

  • We visited on Good Friday when the weather was a bit glum. I had a 15yr old and 11yr old daughters with me and grandparents, who suggested bringing us here. The driveway got us all excited and it really was a good sign. When we got out of the car the first sculptures to catch our eyes were the Terminator and Alien ones... and my eldest was desperate to go see the giant spider. The iron 'safari park' to walk around was really interesting as all the sculptures are created by different people. A scorpion and alligator on a roof was a bit unusual too. As the rain started we moved under cover and the creations for sale were amazing. I could have spent a fortune. The indoor 'marketplace' was beautiful with so much to see and even as we sat enjoying a cup of tea, we noticed things up high that we had missed. The Amnesty angel made from knives was truly unique and such an inspiring way to use the knives for good. I would definitely come back, probably on a sunny day and picnic here.
  • A place full of surprises. Here you will find steel sculptures of animals and many other things A large traffic free site with cafe, toilets and plenty of space to let the kids run free Adults can be impressed by the quality of art and engineering that can be found Children can show you , "Yes there are Pink Elephants" Free entrance and parking
  • I really enjoyed our trip to the British Iron Works Centre. The highlight of the trip for me was going to see the blacksmith, he showed us all the different methods of how he created a fire poker. He showed us how he twisted the metal, also he showed us how all the different methods are used all the time in being a blacksmith. A huge Thank You to the British Iron Works team for such a fantastic afternoon!
  • Really nice afternoon out. Lots of space to walk around, lots to see and a great cafe for lunch. Great place for bringing young kids on a sunny day.
  • As a first time visit I very much enjoyed the experience. We were treated to a demonstration from the local blacksmith which I found very interesting. The knife angle was magnificent and I encourage all to see! Many thanks to the staff who took care of us and took us behind closed doors and saw how the business was run. I look forward to returning in the near future.
