  • Glen Garioch is the easternmost distillery in Scotland and is situated in the middle of Oldmeldrum. The staff is incredibly friendly. It feels good right hands. In addition to the normal selection of whisky, there is the possibility to fill his own bottle. To do this, are again at least two different drums to choose from. Especially is it filled the bottle through a faucet as well as in most of the other distilleries, but through a Valinch. So, the whisky directly from the barrel pulling. To a handfilled bottle, you get another little nosing glass at Glen Garioch and can talk all the time about Nice. I would come back anytime at this distillery. It's really great.

  • A distillery steeped in History, guides are knowledgeable and seem to enjoy their work. A traditional tour as opposed to a gimmicky audio visual experience. A fair bit of walking as the Distillery is split among two main buildings across the road from each other.
  • Closest distillery to Aberdeen. We went during the off season (winter) and the distillery was shut down. However, they do "winter warmers" which consists of a video, modified tour, barrel tasting, etc. really nice.
  • A great whisky tour. The guide was lovely and the tour was natural and chatty. One of the best distillery tours I've been on.
  • What a beautiful location and amazing experience. We opted for the 'Wee Tasting Tour', and were blown away by the warmth and knowledge of our guide and indeed everyone we met! We then went on to bottle our own whisky in the warehouse - an incredible, authentic, hands-on activity bathed in the aroma of the 'Angels' share' with a gorgeous whisky to take away at the end of it. There is a sense of history all around, and the care and affection of the staff for their distillery is inspiring. And then there's the whisky - but that speaks for itself.
  • Loved the tour! The staff told us lots of details about the history of the distillery and little tips about the whisky bottling. She gave us more than generous drams for our tasting and she introduced us to the amazing auchtentoshan whisky cream which is a must! Highly recommended! I must say, I will keep on buying it! Please send it to America!
