  • It is certainly not a leisure park. Rather a collection station, but still it interesting aquariums filled with fish, jellyfish, seahorses, etc.. It offers the possibility of starfish, caressing sea lions specifically for children.

  • A small aquatic sanctuary. Parts of it (the aquarium and clinic) are actually quite nice, but other parts seem a bit run down. Maybe we've seen too many other sanctuaries to be impressed by this smaller one... it can be visited quite quickly. Kids will like it and they do offer boat trips to see seals in the wild, which was the highlight for us.
  • Nice place but small and looks like it needs a revamp. The aquarium is very nice with a good selection of fish etc. Didnt see any otters during 2 hour visit. The seal feeding was brilliant. Best to time your visit so you can be there for the talks. Staff were good.
  • My second visit to this excellent sealife centre near Oban. If you're going though, I'd suggest you book online as we were quoted £25 for 1 Concession, 1 Adult and 1 child online, but on deciding just to pay on arrival we were charged £36! A vast overcharge in my opinion for what is a pretty basic tour. The cost apart, we were "lucky" to have arrived in time to see the "Otter feeding", which turns out to be just the one Otter! Still, it's a very nice Otter called Lewis. Turns out it's not even a Scottish Otter but a North American one. A little disappointing but that's just me. We all enjoyed watching Lewis get fed. The Aquarium is quite impressive to be honest, with a large and varied selection of fish and even turtles. Great, especially for the children to see. The seal feeding was entertaining and probably the highlight of the visit, the girl who narrated the tour was very interesting to listen to, and gave us a rundown of facts and figures while her colleague fed the seals and made them do some tricks etc. Service in the fairly overpriced cafe was pretty dire with just one member of staff serving, probably because while we were there, most of the other centre staff were also queuing up to get served as well! A fairly worthwhile experience, especially for the kids, if visiting Oban. But vastly overpriced unless you book online.
  • This is a great place. Lovely setting. Watched the seals and otters being fed. Enjoyed looking at the great variety of fish and sea life creatures. Good cafe too!
