  • We took some family members from France to show them what we have on our doorstep. They loved the experience, and it gave us another opportunity to see nature in all it's glory. We never tire of this ...  more »
  • I visit quite often to take the dog out for a decent long walk along the coastal path. There are benches spaced out on this walk if you fancy a rest as well as a hut to watch the aquatic birds from. B...  more »
  • Keep an eye out for the seals in the mouth of the creek. Saw one following a boat into the creek and it stayed in the area for a good 20 minutes.

  • Early October visit and an astonishing diversity of birds. Our group clocked up 82 species in 5 hours including spectacular numbers of migratory birds. No facilities on site and watch out for occasional dog poo but strongly recommended for bird lovers.
  • A wide variety of waders and other birds to see. There are stunning views across the marshes and a number of hides available for watching the birds. Small car park, but you can park on the road in places.
  • Loved the walk here. Watch out for the mossies
  • Great bird watching with wonderful wildfowl and waders, including avocets, especially in winter. Most can be seen easily from the pull in on the road making it perfect for those with limited mobility. Also good for butterflies and damselflies. Fantastic views across The Swale. One word of warning, the path by The Swale and creek gets very muddy and rutted after heavy rain and when warm and still there are hordes of midges.
  • Many birds.
