  • We visited the day after Storm Doris, but the sun came out for us, and thankfully she hadn't damaged this beautiful place too much. Although it is Winter, there is still plenty to see - the woodland a...  more »
  • I took my mother (who was a Geoff Hamilton fan in the 90's) who was very impressed with the 38 ideas. I was interested in a few as a non-gardener so not a bad visit. Entry is £7 with a little cafe to ...  more »

  • What a splendid place. It's many years since I last visited, possibly 20. How wonderful the site has turned out. Every corner you turned showed more and more delight. As I am on the point of having my own garden re-designed, today has been very valuable. The cafe too, was excellent !
  • It's quite a few years since my last visit and I'm amazed how it has matured and how expertly it has all been designed and planted. A beautiful tribute to its founder.
  • Thank you for all the pleasure we had from our visit, largely due to your very kind and helpful staff. The electric wheelchair ran out of charge, and, not only were your staff on hand to rectify it, but sent a really delightful man to push a wheelchair you provided. He was full of enthusiasm for the garden. He told us he had only been with you for 6 months, but was an enthusiastic gardener himself. Then, when we saw a plant un-named as it was being planted, another chap went and found out the name and wrote it down. We met and chatted to so many cheerful and helpful staff. Only complaint - no soup on the menu for lunch.
  • Perhaps the wrong time of year to go, disappointing, trees and plants under watered all the areas looked neglected and tired.
  • Fantastic gardens, only gripe is toilets are in the car park and not in tea room
