  • This is a great put with a fascinating history. The beer selection was awesome and the staff knowledgeable. I loved the layout utilising all the nooks and crannies. I have been here in the summer too and it is fantastic to sit outside and take in the scenery. Excellent pub!
  • Absolutely stunning pub! Wonderful beer, great selection too. Wonderful and beautiful bar staff. Extraordinarily unique. Deep in history and wonder. Would highly recommend to anyone and everyone. Also try the bar game of getting the hoop on the horn!!! Hours of pleasure in a most uplifting atmosphere!!!! Big thanks to kiwi and all of the wonderful staff here for making us feel very welcome.
  • A really nice pub. Nice food and drinks, alcoholic and soft drinks. The inn also has the cursed gallon ship and swords on the wall. Pictures of famous people who have been in and you can also buy souvenirs at a good price. There are also cellar tours, which I would love to go on. I've been here a few times and definitely coming again next time I'm in Nottingham. Xxx
  • We were told about this pub by a nearby restaurant and so glad we called in for a pint. It's the UKs oldest pub built into a cave. We sat in what was an old fireplace. The place has so much character and according to one of the staff we spoke to may even have a ghost!! Well worth a visit.
  • Came here with some friends my flat looking for a nice Sunday lunch. The atmosphere was nice, the bar staff were welcoming and the service was pretty quick. However, for the Sunday lunch you get '2' bitesize roast potatoes. The quality of the meat was pretty good! However, you do not get a Yorkshire with the pork option, and when I questioned this I was told "Because you've gone for the pork, you do not get a Yorkshire." One of my flatmates decided to have the mac'n'cheese, which was poor. The cheese tasted bitter. I will not be ordering food again. Although might go for a drink!
