My wife loves this place, as far as I can see it's just a place for new age hippies to come with their MacBooks and pretend they are writing a Shakespearian sonnet or something. I've personally come t... read more »
Amazing range of tea and great atmosphere with good music always playing. Downstairs seating is wonderful if you don't mind a few spiders. Staff are usually quite blasé and unenthusiastic, but the cakes make up for it. Lots of vegan/gluten free/lactose free options available.
Comfortable like a favourite pair of slippers, Lee Rosy's is an ego-free jewel in the heart of Nottingham. A wooden rustic interior creates an easy vibe in which to sample a huge range of high-quality teas and coffees, and there's a broad range of sumptuous cakes, savouries and light meals too. Also doubling as an Arts Centre, the varied events include The Church Of Sound, and monthly showcase for electronic music artists. Recommended.
Staff were very rude and unwelcoming, we didn't bother staying for lunch as we felt so let down by the lack of service - I did buy some tea from them but during the transaction the staff continues there conversation as if we weren't there, we even asked them for help and were answered unenthusiastically - way too focused on being a hipster trendy cafe - Would highly recommend going elsewhere rather than here
The tea was very nice and there was a great selection to choose from. The staff just did their jobs, they were not rude but neither were they friendly. As somewhere to work it leaves a lot to be desired. The seating has very subdued lightning and the music, though mellow in nature, was so loud I could hear it through my headphones even when they were on max. Overall, too much focus on being a trendy cafe and not enough on the basics.
