Discover an ancient, subterranean world at City of Caves (Tigguo Cobauc). Explore this labyrinth of caves that stretch under the busy city streets with actor-led tours or wander through at your own pace with an audio tour. Learn about how these caves were used as 17th-century dwellings, cellars, and even World War II air-raid shelters. Uncover the basement of the Drury Hill slums, all that remains of one of 19th-century Britain’s worst slums. To ensure a place on a guided tour, book in advance as they do sell out. The floor of the caves is uneven in places, so sensible footwear is a must. • This is a great tour for a rainy day. Very informative of the history of Nottingham. The group guide was well informed about the history and gave a great account on what it was like in days gone by.

  • great place to go new nothing about the caves but i do now, well worth a visit the staff were very helpful and friendly.
  • It's an OK visit, there's actually not much to see, as you spend a long time in one section looking at the same things. Nice and interactive, but I wouldn't go again, feels like something that should be very cheap or free.
  • We had a good guide and learned lots of history.
  • Lots to learn and quite an experience. A fair few steps and bumps, so watch out. Just suitable for toddlers.
  • Combining the price of the galleries of justice with the city of caves is a real money saver. It's a must see for anyone wanting something to do in Nottingham. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and presented the tour well.
  • Enjoyable and informative
