Cave Historic Site
Discover an ancient, subterranean world at City of Caves (Tigguo Cobauc). Explore this labyrinth of caves that stretch under the busy city streets with actor-led tours or wander through at your own pace with an audio tour. Learn about how these caves were used as 17th-century dwellings, cellars, and even World War II air-raid shelters. Uncover the basement of the Drury Hill slums, all that remains of one of 19th-century Britain’s worst slums. To ensure a place on a guided tour, book in advance as they do sell out. The floor of the caves is uneven in places, so sensible footwear is a must. • It's a simple 45-60 minute tour, it's a little piece of local history. Worth the visit and the staff are very friendly.  more »
  • It was ok, nothing to brag about, it only took 45 minutes to go through everything. Things were interesting and for what it is, its reasonably priced as well.  more »
  • This is well worth a visit. You don hard hats for the walk through the caves where you see a different world and explore the social history of the caves. There is an underground tannery, old slum hous...  more »

  • A place where you can learn a lot about the city's history. Guide was great and, also, it's not every day that you get into a cave system straight from a shopping mall. That alone is worth the price.
  • Great place to learn something you never knew about Nottingham. They were extremely flexible when wanting to adjust our arrival time (dependant on space)
  • A reasonably good attraction. Takes less than an hour but is good to view the caves. If you've only got time to do one attraction I've give it a miss however
  • enjoyable place where you enter the caves through the shopping center (this confused me and my friend since it was caves we were going too, ahaha!), greeted by reception who hand you a device which guides you through the caves and a safety helmet as a precaution. great value for money if you combine the city of caves and galleries of justice museum together as they can come as package deal and are in a reasonable walking distance from each other.
  • Tour could have been a little longer, but was nonetheless fantastic, with great tour guides and good props, maybe not first date material but certainly a fun afternoon! It can be paired with the galleries of justice as a Morning afternoon combination.
