  • Avoid this place, there are stealth parking charges. After spending 40 minutes here last month we were lumped with a £50 penalty notice landing on our doorstep. We will not be returning.  more »

  • Nice place for family walks. Dry in summer and fairly accessible with a reasonably level stoney surface. Can get muddy during wetter months though. Dogs are allowed, but are requested to be on leads in some areas. Nice walk around broad, also provides views of the river Yare, where you can see passing trains (on other side of River), and rowing boats can frequently be seen on the river. Car parking costs 60p per half hour, and is zealously enforced by an external contractor.
  • Lovely place to walk around. Lots of things to explore. The cafe is also very nice and the cakes are yummy! I would advise wearing wellies as some of the paths can be very muddy.
  • Beautiful beautiful place. We are so so lucky to have this on the doorstep. It is fantastic for walking, running, cycling, birdwatching, camping, picnics, children, dogs, families, and is the base for rowing, sailing and triathlon clubs.
  • We always enjoy visiting Whitlingham. It's will cared for. Has a nice visitor centre where you can get lunch and a few souvenirs if you want. There's plenty of car parking, it's 60p per 30mins. So not too bad. You pay when you leave, cameras note your number plate and time on entry then calculate your charge. Lots of birds to see. A lovely long walk efficient is pushchair friendly. Always a nice stop.
  • Easy to walk paths.beautiful scenery just outside the city.great cafe boating facilities.birds at close range.
