  • Usually go for the climbing wall but recently they decided they would annually force people to do an induction and pay £10 for the privilege. Clearly a money grabbing scheme dressed up as a health and safety review. You wouldn't have to pay for an induction to use a gym on an annual basis and you don't simply 'forget' how to tie correct knots and belay. If you want a better climbing experience, go to Highball Climbing Centre. There's more variety, the staff are more helpful and the atmosphere much better.
  • Considering the cost, there is neither enough equipment nor space to accommodate patrons; this is particularly so with the weight training area. For the price, one ordinary bench press and one incline bench press, plus three to four other free weight benches is unacceptable. Be that as it may, the facilities are fairly clean and the staff is always friendly - hence the two stars. Advice to patrons considering this facility: consider other gyms in the area before getting locked into a contract.
  • My son recently wanted to join the free style gymnastics club. We went and were completely blown away with the facilities, friendly staff, eating areas and prices. I had no idea this was open to the public as well. If sports, training or swimming is your thing. You need to pay this place a visit. Free parking and great price points.
  • I went to swim there twice, once as 50m and once at 25m. I much prefer it when it is on 50m, so do check the schedule if you want to swim 50m. The changing facilities and the pool are fairly clean. The pool wasn't too crowded when I got there but I heard it could be. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I found the entrance fee a bit expensive though (4.30 GBP + 1 GBP if you wish to hire a padlock, and they also take 5 GBP deposit for the padlock - which you can get back when you leave). They do have concessions and other options, which is good for students or people going there regularly. I would definitely go back if I visit to UEA again.
  • Great place with great variety of activities. The swimming pool is great for the family and we used the climbing wall for a birthday party which was fantastic.
