William the Conqueror's only castle in East Anglia, Norwich Castle Museum & Art Gallery is one of Norwich's 12 heritage sites. The museum holds important archaeological and historical artifacts inside its walls. The castle's galleries display ceramics, jewelry, glass, and textiles. The decorative art collection is the pride of the castle, so you might want to take extra time there. • A fantastic place for all of the family with a variety of different activities in every area to keep young and old perusing the same area together rather than having child specific zones where adults just become bored babysitters or more text heavy areas where children lose interest. A perfect museum :-D
  • Amazing place to visit. I was there when they had a going on exhibition, worth to see everything. It's just really nice and amazing
  • I visited with my visually impaired mother and her guide dog; the team at reception offered advice about suitable tours and areas of uneven ground which may have caused an issue. Everyone was very friendly and helpful and we visited on a day when there were complimentary tours being offered! The 'Highlights tour' gave an interesting insight into some of the key prices within the museum. Loads there to see (and plenty for children). Not just a castle for sure!
  • Solid Norman keep. Bit disappointed I couldn't go up to the battlements unless on an official tour. Fun exploring though if you like medieval stuff, which I do. Also contains a pretty limited art gallery, taxidermy and some more interesting Celtic, Roman, Saxon, Viking objects.
  • Beautiful castle and nice Museum, free entry if you enter an hour before it closes. Worth a look around.
