  • On arrival I was amazed at just how full the large car park was, it seemed like a very popular attraction. On entering I could see why. I was immediately met with beautiful colourful beds of flowers and shrubs and as you twist your way around the themed gardens there's more and more to see and experience. In fact we did get a bit lost at one point but wherever you ended up it was stunning. It was helped by being a warm fine day. The place seemed to be kept well maintained and I did not begrudge parting with £8 as it must take a lot of time and effort to keep up with this vast estate. All lawns were mowed and trees and hedges clipped. I could not fault it and it was perfect to test out my new camera! We finished with a lovely cup of tea and slice of homemade cake which did not disappoint. My two criticisms are that you really should be provided with a map included in the price. There was an expensive brochure but we just needed a rough guide. Secondly the outside garden furniture for the tea rooms was 'weathered' but not in a good way! They were not inviting at all. Overall though a very pleasant experience and we will definitely revisit. (from visit June 2016)
  • this is the best garden I have ever visited because it is so full of surprises as you explore every walkway and come to something else exciting and bursting with colour. The planting is just amazing... the colours are so complimentary and there is so much variety. Many unusual plants never seen before .. and very architectural too. Wish I lived closer to see it through the year.
  • Best garden I've EVER visited, fact! And I've visited a lot!
  • A lovely afternoon out. Great tearooms and homemade cake. One of the best private gardens that I've visited. Will definitely be making a return visit.
  • One of my favourite gardens to visit
