  • Some friends visited the gardens and thought the were wonderful so we thought we had to go. WOW! They are really spectacular if you are in to gardens From the moment you walk from the large car park into the garden you are amazed at what has been achieved. The gardens are laid out in a series of 'rooms' and many thousands of hours must have been spent on both design and planting. Everywhere you go is a spectacular planting arrangement or vista often using the natural features to highlight it. Excellent cafe/tea shop and plant sales both of which are good value and well stocked. Whilst we visited on Bank Holiday Sunday there were a lot of people you were not aware of them and it was not crowded at all. Well worth visiting and should be six out of five stars (extra for the homemade cakes).
  • This is a great place to visit. We had lunch and afternoon tea whilst we were there and were surprised at how reasonably priced all the food was, it was all made & cooked on site by friendly helpful staff. There are some friendly cats who enjoy a cuddle as you can see.
  • Highly recommended. Very extensive and impressive gardens. Structure and use of colours very imaginative. Must surely be one of UK's foremost gardens. Allow a full afternoon and even then you'll struggle to see all of it. Just one negative - caged birds have no place in 2017.
  • Such an amazing place - some fabulous planting and the hard landscaping all to such a high standard. Every gardeners dream. Great cake too!!
  • 32 acres of beautifully crafted garden walks with views through the hedgerow to other areas and vistas outside of the garden itself. There are animals roaming in the grounds and with a sunny day, the energy is as vibrate as the colour. It is easy to get to and there is plenty of parking on site. The attendants at both the entrance booth and the shop are keen to make sure your experience is worth while. There is a cake shop and they have wonderful desserts.
