  • This is a great country park. There's woods to have a nice walk in the shade, and a fab beach with plenty of rock pools for the kids to play with. It's also got free parking which was a blessed relief...  more »
  • To the left of Fort Victoria a path invites you to the woods nearby. It was a glorious sunny morning so we went to have a look around. We saw and heard lots of birds, saw bubbles in the newt pond, and...  more »

  • Have always loved coming here since I was a child. Lots to do along the beach & walks in the woods. Large grass area to play in, barbeque zone and free parking. P.s. lots of Pok√©mon here too!
  • Nice little place we stop hear when waiting for the ferry. Just 5 minutes round the corner from Yarmouth. You can also get a tea or coffee.
  • A nice little stop down a rather narrow lane near Freshwater, the fort itself is small but interesting and there is a delightful little cafe which serves a good breakfast with an outside area where you can watch the busy marine traffic in the Solent, with views across to the mainland and Hurst Castle. Well worth a visit if you are in that part of the Island.
  • I come here to fish once a week, and to relax with my wife on my days off, peaceful place to chill out
  • Aquarium has closed but cafe, model railway, shipwreck museum and planetarium still open. Lovely views across to the mainland
