We visited here one sunny afternoon. It wasn't too busy given it's the summer holidays but that's probably a good thing as the car park is quite small. There's a tiny shop where you buy tickets from a...  more »

Having lived in Bath for over 10 years - we had no idea this little gem of a castle was just outside the city! It is a small, but well maintained ruined castle about 20mins drive from the city centre ...  more »

  • Amazing ruined castle included in the overseas visitor pass. Must listen to the audio guides. The family who made this castle was definitely something! Def check out the chapel and crypt!! Our kids loved climbing the ruins.
  • There is not a lot of the original castle left but what remains is interesting to walk around and the site itself sits in some beautiful countryside. It's with taking a picnic on a fine day and sitting and enjoying the atmosphere.
  • Enjoyed the fact that everything isn't fenced off and you are able to make your own route around the site
  • Nice little 14th century 🏰 with a lot of history. Ideal for a picnic
  • Would have been lovely in its day but was in ruins when I visited
