  • Great little stop for a lunch time. One of the smaller NT places, but lovely all the same. 2 hours maximum stop with a lunch. Has a nice little cafe with hot drinks and cakes. Lovely staff.
  • Small national trust property but very charming, some lovely view's and great walk's
  • Beautiful building built purely for the entertainment of his friends in the early 1600s. And they've done a delightful job bringing the lodge back to its stately glory. Much of the building has been restored by local crafts people. It's small (in terms of national trust sites), but would be a delightful place to have a picnic and spend some time. And if you're traveling from the us, be sure to get a royal oak membership, you will be able to get into all royal trust properties for free.
