Sixfields Stadium is a 7,724-capacity all-seater sports stadium in the Sixfields area on the west side of Northampton, England.(currently 5,000) It has been the home ground of Northampton Town Football Club following their move from the County Ground in October 1994. It was also rented by Coventry City between July 2013 and August 2014. The site also hosts athletics in the adjacent stadium. Aside from being a sports venue, Sixfields also houses conference facilities.HistorySince 1897, Northampton Town had played their home games at the County Cricket Ground, sharing it with Northamptonshire County Cricket Club. Because of the larger size of a cricket pitch, the football ground only had stands on three sides. Northampton Town chose to construct their own stadium, more suitable to football, in the Sixfields area of Northampton. The stadium had been scheduled to be opened at the start of the 1994–95, but was not ready on time and as a result Northampton began the season still at the County Ground. The first game to be played there was against Barnet in Division Three on 15 October 1994. The match ended in a 1–1 draw, with striker Martin Aldridge scoring the first goal at the new stadium.

  • Part incomplete shed city ground but with a top class playing surface. Pies and coffees better than average. Long walk back to the station.

  • Football aside, the hospitality offering here is weak in afraid. Paying over 80 quid a head to be in a tent before the game, with one course of cottage pie and a veggie option that apparently ran out,...  read more »
  • It's ok. There are some sexy ladies around. theres this one with a jiggly arse, but then when it gets closer you realize it's just like squishy and held in shape by her trou. very disappoint 4/10. Also, the tea is kinda gash, and they seem to like to kick the balls of the disability men that sits on the game fence side of the game. But, i like the game that they make. I love lamp
  • Great atmosphere on match-day, the only problem is the ground capacity is reduced due to Northampton's previous chairman not paying Buckingham the stadium builders to finish the half completed East stand. The grim question over where £10.25m has gone which was lent to the club by Northampton borough council to pay for improvements to its Sixfields stadium, including a new East Stand is now the subject of a police investigation.
  • Theatre of dreams but for the proper fans of football! #NTFC
  • Nice facilities, good parking arrangements, close to restaurants.
  • Love following the Cobblers with my husband and grandson, second generation as my son Snd step son have been supporters before me.
