  • Enjoyed a great day at the food festival in the beautiful surroundings of Althorp House. I would definitely recommend to visit.
  • We were taken round by our guide, Diane who's knowledge of the family, house and contents was incredible. A very interesting couple of hours preceded by an excellent lunch in the cafe. All the staff v...  more »
  • This was an interesting afternoon visit to a beautiful family estate. I learned about some of the Althorp family members while strolling through the house and grands.

  • A lovely and well maintained estate, which is the ancestral home of Princess Diana. Only about an hour north of London. The tour lasted about an hour, and takes place every 30 minutes. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable! Be aware that no photos are allowed to be taken in the house. However, you can purchase a program for a reasonable £5. Be sure to visit the lake and island where Diana is buried. Also note that Lord Spencer makes short appearances and signs his books which can be purchased at the bookstore. We were lucky enough to meet him today. The toilets are fabulous - large, clean and numerous. The cafe had a nice, but limited selection of sandwiches, drinks, desserts and soup. Tip:. If arriving by train, take a taxi to the main visitors entrance, which will take about 15 minutes and cost about £20. Also take note that there is no exhibition of dresses currently on site.
  • Quality day out. Beautiful grounds and walks. You may catch The Earl Spencer signing books in the gift shop.
  • Beautiful grounds and good food available at the cafe.
  • Just having a good feeling of Arriving at Princess Diana homestead
  • I go there every year, as I adoooooooooore Princess Diana.
