It was a wet Saturday that we set out to find a tenpin bowling alley near Alnwick. Hen's teeth comes to mind! Managed to find this place some 40+ miles away but kids wanted to play so travelled there ...  more »

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Worst bowling place I have ever been, dated, dirty, toilets are a health hazard (vomit and faeces which looked several days old on floor), broken glass and rubbish at entrance...  more »

  • We come here a lot. Kids love it. Decent prices for bowling and food
  • Just after being to wet n Wild water park that was great fun we visited the Star Bowling. I Handed my Master Card for payment and got feedback we only take chip and pin cards. So ppl coming from round the world with well known master cards that all UK shops accepts and I had no problems anywhere I spent money they apparently don't accept it. I did not have time to argue cos the woman in the till had no idea how to serve and how the banks work and perhaps don't know master cards either . The balls holes are too small not standard. The lightest weight that fitted my fingers were 12kg and this is not light. I had problem Bowling that heavy ball and I m classed as fit. My son is 11. He got 8kg that Barely fired his fingers too heavy for him he couldn't ball too. It was waste of money. not a friendly place for families and kids. It's a shame really.
  • Was like stepping back in time. Decor was dated. Building was freezing, most people were buying hot drinks to keep warm. Very pricey for 2 adults and a 2yr old coming to £17 for one game! I personally wouldn't come back. Staff weren't the most friendly and it took some time for the woman to acknowledge my existence after standing directly in front of her for 5 mins. Toilets are upstairs - couldn't see any baby changing facilities either.
  • I rang up a women called Pauline was very rude she told me to shut up and talk properly I already was talking properly I am not a happy girl never going to star owl again
  • Cold dark staff are useless. Can't even be bothered to give you bowling shoes. Never again
