  • Walking through the picturesque fishing village of North Berwick, on a sunny but freezing cold and windy, I stumbled across this center dedicated to seabirds. We of course understand that was the ideal place for lovers of Ornithology, and the presence of a particular advertisement in the point of arrival of the train was the right call. It depicted-I discovered after-the Puffin, Fratercula arctica in Italian ', ' birds a bit strange but nice present right in the area (see photo of the sign advertising) we saw the Center only from the outside and we pried a bit around. Also has a refreshment bar. In addition to particular sculpture near the building, a huge stylized bird, on the terrace there is a sculpture depicting a man intent on watching with binoculars towards the sea to observe seabirds. From the idea of wanting to discover the habits of these birds in their natural environment. Back at the hotel, I later found out that the Center has a very interesting interactive trail especially for boys, and also discovered that organizes boat trips to the island which is seen in the distance. So, plan ahead by exploiting all the info from their website.

  • It seemed good to the Seabird center for a late breakfast and just for lunch ... the view was phenomenal, as being a beautiful day ... and the rest and conversation ... the Lincoln Street and average but the sandwiches are ... strong........ but what actually takes extra points are the small terrace with views over the island and the beach.

  • A nice day out with the kids. Great views of Bass rock. Interesting information on the local wildlife. Lots of educational activities for the kids. There is also options to do a boat trips around the islands. The sandy beach next to the centre is beautiful and well worth a walk along.
  • Great little museum and a special feature are the remote controlled high definition cameras located out on the islands. Got up close and personal with puffins and other birds. A wee pricey admission. The little cafe serves a nice selection of tea, biscuits and snacks. If its sunny, tea on the pation is brilliant!
  • Great place with unforgettable views. Must see when you're in or near North Berwick.
  • Very interactive. Lovely place for the family surrounded by sun sea and sand
  • Cool Harbor, with docks, a crab shack. Nice visitors centre, gift shop.
