A beautiful place with fantastic views. There are several walks that are suitable for all levels of mobility and other more remote walks that require good mobility, for example, the woodland on Inisherk Island. The latter walk requires good footwear even in the summer because the woods are muddy in parts. Entry fees are £5.00 per person if you are not a National Trust member. For day visitors there is sufficient car parking and there are facilities such as toilets and a cafe. There are helpful information boards throughout the site. We have always found the staff to be very helpful and pleasant. On our last visit in August 2021 there was an abundance of butterflies and we saw Dark Green Fritilleries, Speckled Woods and Small Tortoiseshells. Overall I recommend this hidden Northern Irish gem to both visitors and locals.

Lovely place - had a beautiful walk around the grounds. It was quieter than expected which was lovely and added to the peaceful surrounds. Will be back again ❤️ very well kept x

The most beautiful castle is a PRIVATE RESIDENCE. No one talks about this on the reviews, but you can’t get anywhere near the main castle and for admission of 7£ you get to walk around the estate and see some ruins. Rip off.

Stayed at the cottages, very cosy, well kept and equipped (including free wifi). Beautiful walks and we took the kids out on one of the boats you can hire at the visitor centre beside the cottages. Also has a small park and a great coffee shop for a handy lunch. Loads of open spaces, forests and ruins for little people to explore. The national trust staff on site were exceptionally friendly and helpful and hiring the boat was a breeze. The waterways have beautiful scenery and plenty of wildlife to see from the boat. If you are staying in the cottages you also get free entry into Florencecourt and Castle Coole which are stunning as well. We will definitely be back!

Stayed in one of the glamping pods and it was great. Better than camping but all the benefits. Pods overlook the Lough and the fishing was fantastic. Great for kids and is dog friendly.
