  • This place is a hidden gem and tour guide was fantastic. The tour took you through areas which was designed what it was like during the war. We will definitely return with friends at some stage. There...  more »
  • Having now seen the exhibition in the Somme Centre, I rate it as excellent well worth a visit. It really brings home what the troop have to endure during the great war.
  • You would easily miss this but it is worth seeking out. The building is a little dull and the coffee shop looks like a school canteen but the exhibitions and the guided tour are brilliant. They tell t...  more »

  • Great place to go to get a sense of what it was like for the would ers living in the trenches. If you are into your history it's a definite must. If it's a nice day a walk around the lead mines also known as Whitespots is a must. It was mined until 1849 there are some beautiful walks even a lake and Forrest which runs along close to the golf course.
  • Chilling, a very good exhibit that hits home.
  • Great but need to pay a lot for a tour
  • A great history lesson.
  • For a great tour of relics of the first world war , what it may have been like in the trenches , weapons used and diaries of soldiers etc , group tours including lunch from the cafe which is great and well priced . Then you can walk through the clandeboye estate to Helens tower , beautifully nestled in the woods , great day out for family's and groups of all sizes .
