  • Very interesting and worth going. Our tour guide, John Anderson is an ex employee of the mine and very friendly and knowledgeable. I had high expectations of the tour and was excited about it and he made the tour that much better than I was expecting. Nice chap. The winding engine is very impressive. We have already recommend this place by word of mouth and the feedback was good too.
  • The guides are the best bit. Really bring the mining story to life. Got to know their audience and tailored their presentation to suit. Kept our 6 and 8 year old grandkids interested.
  • I went with kelty primary school and it was really good everyone enjoyed it and John was brilliant
  • Our guide gave us a real insight into what it was like to work at the coalface.
