  • Dont pay for the house if you have a buggy - they will not tell you when they take your money - but you cant go into the house with it. Meaning you have to carry your newborn in arm while taking a 'leisurely' tour which you will rush for to get your infant back in the buggy. the grounds are great though!
  • Great park to run around in though the house is closed for the winter. Lots of scaffolding on the front of the house too so photos are a bit less romantic!
  • Beautiful walk around the lake. Love the family friendly atmosphere and the open space for dog walkers. The tea rooms are sublime and the gift shop is brilliant. Perfect way to spend a weekend afternoon.
  • Disappointed that you don't get to see the whole house, there's many rooms & areas that aren't accessible. A shame to see the state of some of the rooms as a result of neglect in the past. Grounds & park are nice in the summer. A tea room on site doing snacks & drinks. Can get very busy if the weather's nice.
  • I visited this beautiful place yesterday as I am a National Trust member and love to walk. We started inside the grounds and worked our way through the house to the beautiful garden where there was a great lake. Was lovely to see this historic house draws lots of visitors.
