  • We stumbled on Newhaven Fort while on our unplanned driving tour of the U.K. Even myself, who is not a great history buff could have stayed longer. The views are amazing from the top if history is not...  read more »
  • Great day out a place all children should visit very educational and moving and I have to say a bit spooky but very enjoyable
  • Always good, visited lots of times. Good to teach children about history of the War, especially if you're local.
  • Nice view in the morning you can see rabbits running around.
  • If you have an interest in military history, then you'll probably enjoy this attraction.
  • Newhaven Fort makes a refreshing change from many of the 'commercial' attractions in the area: it is very reasonably priced and understated. You really get a feel for the history of the place - it feels like a 'real' fort, not an artificial tourist attraction. The exhibitions are interesting and have obviously been put together with care. There's enough here to keep children occupied for a couple of hours, even if they are too young to be interested in the exhibitions - tunnels, gun emplacements and 'dungeons' to explore, a play area, and the 'blitz experience'. The only reason I can think that this place isn't more busy is that it is off the beaten track and they probably don't spend money on advertising!
  • An enjoyable way to spend a couple of hours
  • Free entry a nice day out
