  • We had a lovely day. It wasn't too busy so we felt we could really take our time. It has a large outdoor area within the fort including a cafe, picnic tables if you bring your own lunch and kids play park as well as a lovely grass walk higher up with amazing views. Loads of little rooms and out buildings to explore. Some interactive things for the kids, a dress up area and a fall out shelter experience which was brilliant. We went in a group and the kids from 2yrs to 14yrs really enjoyed it, as did the adults.
  • Great place to visit. Not too big, good to explore, decent exhibitions all in small easily managed sections. Cafe with very tasty food at a good price, simply served. Could do with a better dishwasher for the cutlery , hence the reduction by 1 star..!
  • Myself and Robyn would like to thank Kath, Emma and the rest of the Newhaven Fort team for making our wedding day at the fort truly memorable. Nothing was too much for the team and they were on hand at every step of the day including a quick fire turn around of the Romney Hut from ceremony venue to reception venue. All our guests commented on great the fort was and polite and helpful all of the staff were. Many thanks again and we highly recommend Newhaven Fort not only as a wedding venue but as beautiful historic venue for adults and kids to explore. Top job team!! x
  • Amazing place to visit, I have been here on many occasions with family and friends and I am always enjoy coming as it has amazing views plus the history which has, I truly recommend visiting this place which is family friendly or even groups of people.
  • Fab place to learn about the history of the fort over the last 2000 years ! Lots to see and do, but clearly in need of love and money . Good fun on a sunny afternoon .
