We stayed overnight in the Hotel recently and had a great start to the break when our room was updated before we had a chance to request one. We made use of the excellent spa in the afternoon and had ...  more »

We had a great time getting to the top. Weather was fine and ascent was a physical challenge in parts but views made it well worth it. Descent was trickier than I thought and 'wobbly' legs for last ha...  more »

It's a great location. Walk out the front gate and you're practically at the beach and right in the heart of Newcastle's pubs and restaurants. The hotel itself looks out to the sea. The restaurant is ...  more »

We have visited the Slieve Donard for the past three years - each time we have a very enjoyable visit. The staff are polite , helpful and nothing is too much trouble for them - their attitude & efforts make the holiday that much better. The actual hotel is absolutely beautiful , rooms are stunning - worth paying extra to get one with a sea view. The area is beautiful - so much to see and do. If you are feeling energetic then a climb to the top of Slieve Donard is a must followed by a relaxing jacuzzi in the hotel. A stay in this hotel is highly recommended - especially if you can get a good deal on a room.

Great location. Very nicely decorated rooms with exceptional views. Good service and good food. Only criticism is that you often won't get your room at check-in time (3pm) and may have to wait to occupy the room.

One of the best hotels in Ireland but not reflected in the price. Could not eulogis enough about this place. Brilliant food, staff, leisure centre, spa is award winning, gym , restaurant. Stayed overnight after attending a wedding and have returned many times since. If I could give it 6 stars I would not be exaggerating. Located Right beside the world famous and favourite golf course of Tiger Woods Royal County Down. Overlooking the Irish Sea with spectacular views from the swimming pool and spa of the beautiful Mountains of Mourne which seem to sweep right down to the doorstep of this wonderful hotel.

Very friendly staff, very informative. Food very good, not too expensive for what was on offer. Rooms all clean

Stunning hotel with sea views on the Irish sea, friendly staff and beautiful decor, between the Mourn mountain and the sea... You really feel special and the spa is not to be missed too...
