  • Fantastic little gem in Washington Village. It has lots of history behind it and very helpful friendly staff to help with the local knowledge of the area as well as the Old Hall. You will have a lovely time. They have a really big well kept garden called the nuttery. As it is full of hazelnut trees! On a nice day you can take a picnic and play croquet on the lawn at the top while your kids are exploring the garden and it's creatures. They have bird hides, beehives and many more bug exploration. The kids will tire themselves out running around the garden and trees having an adventure! Enjoy yourselves!
  • Interesting visit. One of the smaller trust places I've been to but that didn't take anything away from our experience. There is a small play area for the children and something for them to do in the house. Not a full day out but definitely worth a visit
  • Lovely place to visit then relax with a picnic on the grass. Our children completed the mouse hunt in the hall earning a certificate, and we enjoyed looking around too. The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. Well done.
  • This is OK to visit if you're an adult. There's not much to interest children . Having said that it was a lovely house with very informed and friendly staff. There are gardens to walk around and an excellent small tearoom .
  • Interesting History - home of the forbears of the famous George Washington. Gardens interesting and well maintained. Plenty of child friendly activities in the garden area. Good cafe.
