Beautiful place, perfect for sitting outside or in. Attentive staff without over doing things. Noticed that many tables were reserved, worth booking in advance
We heard so much about the parlour from my daughter who has been A few times so today we thought we would call on for our lunch Can I say it was perfect service and perfect food See you Sunday For our lunch
Went here with partner & mam for a change, pleasant surroundings, lovely & cosy with friendly helpful staff. Food delish with very large menu will have to re-visit to try other things!
Streamlined menu and polite staff combine with a unique style of setting that relaxes you while the honest and good portion sizes satisfy your stomach. A simple approach with tasty food works, i cannot fault anything what so ever. Even the cakes were moist and heavy (unlike pre bought cotton wool texture most places stock). Coffees were great, and even meats were tasty and didnt have that fake texture you get at most carvery places who pretend they cooked the meat in house when they don't they get it all delivered. Top marks. And peaceful setting.
Been to the parlour when it first opened for afternoon tea so was looking forward to the one we ordered today. Big big big disappointment. The sandwiches had teeny amounts of filling in ( the cheese savoury ones had a slither of cheese, a lump of onion and a tiny scrape of mayonnaise). We asked for cheese scones instead of fruit. I am still wondering where the cheese is as I could not taste it. All my other half could taste in his was mustard. They were also very dry. The desserts were ok if you particularly like coconut. We complained about the sandwiches and we were told we should have complained sooner so there was no point in complaining about anything else. Was not aware the tea and coffee was unlimited. A waste of money and time. Will not be returning
