Beautiful park in Wallsend. The flowers are always in bloom and there are loads of little walks you can do.  more »

  • This is a wonderful resource, very close to the centre of Wallsend. As a wheelchair user there are areas of the park it would be difficult for me to access: this is a geographical problem which, I imagine, would be impossible to rectify without spoiling the landscape. However, all is not lost as there are many more accessible areas. There is a good cafe on site, the food is reasonable and fairly cheap, which is good for families. There are lots of community events all year round, some indoor space is available for inclement weather. You can book some areas of the park for events, contact the local council for more information. Entrance to the park is free, there are disabled toilets available and dedicated disabled parking spots, but it is a residential area so in good weather you're probably better to park in Wallsend town centre which is well within walking distance.
  • What a beautiful park. Loads of lovely flat walking to be had. Dogs loved the water. Big busy cafe here. Kids adventure playground. Tennis courts. Ramps. Football pitch. Outdoor gym. Bowling green.Loads to do and explore.
  • Absolutely awesome playground, nice, quite and beautiful park... The only thing - toilet is only in Veranda Cafe, which is usually shut. In fact, never seen it open. Lack of toilet in such a large park is something.... To be prepared to.
  • It has very much improved and now is a nice place to go with the kids
  • Beautiful park. It has everything, park for the kids, excellent for dog walking outdoor gym, tennis courts, skate park, bowling green and a lovely little duck pond. Best bit is that it appears to be untouched by vandals. Love this place
