Enjoy the excitement of a day at the races at Newcastle Racecourse. There has been horseracing of one kind or another in the North East for 350 years, and today it is still hugely popular. Place your bets, feel your heart pounding, and soak up the atmosphere of an ages-old Newcastle tradition. Treat yourself to a meal in one of the course’s restaurants or gastro-pubs. Relax with a drink in one of the many bars on site. Book your tickets to the races in advance to avoid queuing on the day. • The race course hosted a Gin festival. The event was very organised with the appropriate staff and security. The Gin was great, but just a little pricey - which was made up by the free gin samples and the excellent entertainment. The food served was mediocre. Overall a good experience.
  • The racecourse hosts lots of different events, from the obvious Horse Racing to Running Events and just recently Gin Festivals! Great setting and views, prices are reasonable and transport to and from is regular.
  • I attend FSB breakfast meetings at the Broder Minstrel and it's fab. Bacon sandwiches and coffee served all morning. Great place to meet other business owners.
  • Very friendly staff and only a short walk from the Marriott hotel next to the racecourse. Great place to watch the races or attend events in the function rooms
  • Brilliant organisation for the gin festival excellent venue will return
