Jesmond Dene Park occupies a narrow, steep-sided valley of a small stream and was designed to reflect a rural setting with woodland, crags, waterfalls and pools. Escape the stress and noise of travel and come here to relax. There is a spectacular mix of native and exotic trees, as well as wildlife, notably the Kingfisher, red squirrel, and many woodland birds. Other amenities include a ranger service information room, conference center, and a visitors’ center. Take a load off at the picnic area and cafe with refreshing drinks and snacks.   • Great location in the middle of such a busy city! Lovely for a walk or just some time to sit. Great little 'Pets Corner' and lush waterfall. Definitely a place I can see myself returning to.
  • Brilliant place for kids and adults. You can go to pets corner with the kids and nip into the coffee shop. On busy days, park in Jesmond, go up by the church. The parking around there is easier.
  • Jemond Dean is a lovely place to go it has a lovely long walk, a park for the kids, a lovely farm for you to walk around them after all that you can have a lovely cuppa and something to eat in the cafe what a lovely day out you can have.
  • One of the best parks in the city of small Slice of Heaven in the middle of a busy city perfect sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of everyday life in the summer there is a massive burst of colour from the cherry trees and the wild flowers planted by me friends of Heaton and Jesmond parks in the winter in the winter there an occasional spices of red from the barriers and paying them elm and Ash trees does a lot of wildlife foxes and squirrels rabbits even occasional Deer it is an Oasis a place to relax in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the busy city This park is extremely historic was gifted to the city in 1828 by Lord Armstrong way richland Alanna also known just realised the bridge over the park is called Armstrong Bridge the story is his wife didn't like seeing the horses going up and down the steep sides of the valley so asked him to build the bridge which was also the first bridge designed to move with the ground
