  • Great Victorian indoor market. Lovely helpful staff, clean toilets and very reasonably priced cafes and shops. Something for everyone! You can talk to Cancer Research UK nurses alternate Fridays and there is a stop smoking clinic every week too. 😁
  • Historically interesting. Very nice place to visit, lots of different shops, wide alleys, fresh fruit, meat, fresh fish, ethnic food, organic food, French bakery to name but a few. Pet shop, music, tools etc. Lots to see and browse. Clean, well looked after. Do take time to visit, it is the best indoor markets from the Victorian era in the country.
  • Te Grainger Market. Situated in the city centre of Newcastle is, what id describe as an nice place to visit, on your own, or as a family as a whole. It has wheelchair accessibility and considering the status, there are plenty of places to park, if one is driving. If your method of transport is public; Then the metro is no it's away. If you choose Bus, as your transport method then there is an array of bus services to and from your destination. The market has a wide variety of e.g., products, ie, Phone shops to fine butchers. You can also have eat in food, in one of a few mini cafes or take out, such as pastrys etc. In conclusion a well situated place for one or the family to dine or shop
  • Love the feel of the place.old fashioned market feel with hard to find traders such as seamstress, and jewellery repair, as well as the famous M n S stall, independent butchers, bakers, fruiterer etc. Plenty places to eat and socialise and lots to look at.
  • The Grainger Market is authentic..What the MetroCentre pretends to be. Small independent shops..Turkish food sold by Turkish people, Chinese food by Chinese people and fresh fish, meat, fruit, cheeses, bread by artisans.etc etc. Such an eclectic mix...this market has it all. And everyone so friendly... It's a gem!
