the photo of the castle is about all you see. there is not much story or many views. it is perched atop a hill with good views of the city and a nice place to make a picnic lunch

A nice place to relax on a summer day. The ruins of the gatehouse are quite cool. It was demolished in 1646 by order of parliament. After withstanding a 18 month seige led by royalists in the First English Civil war
