  • Amazing place to walk around, we had our wedding photos here back in Nov 1998. You really feel like the monks are still here, and the construction that went into building this place is just astonishin...  more »
  • Very pretty abbey to visit. There are also Cadw comments to listen which are well done and interesting. The car park is in the middle of the industrial state, bit the abbey is well sign posted.
  • Although a ruin, large parts of the buildings remain and give a good overall impression of how the Abbey looked in previous times. There are large expanses of well tended grass too, and it is a popular place for picnics and is fairly peaceful. Entrance is free, and step free, but gravel paths might make it difficult for wheel chair users. Restoration work is ongoing and certain areas are closed or restricted because of this (2017). Parking is a bit limited on the road outside and access from Neath is under a 7'9" low bridge. Alternative access is via the main bypass and through an industrial estate. Well worth a visit.
  • I love this place I taken 100s of photos of the abbey & surrounding area it's beautiful picturesque and peaceful.
  • Love walking around here with my wife. It is so serene and peaceful.
  • The remains are interesting and the new audio information points are quite good, though I think there should be more information available and maybe some diagrams of how the abbey would have been laid out.
