  • A very pleasant morning was spent looking around the arboretum. We were not too late to catch the autumn colours. A useful tip at this time of year is to turn up early. We arrived about 10:00 and we almost had the place to ourselves, a bonus for getting photos without having to wait for other visitors to walk out of the viewfinder! By the time we returned to the café the ques for the entrance were stretching for quite a distance. We had a good meal at the restaurant before buying a few plants at the garden centre.

  • Well maintained and beautiful grounds. A lovely and relaxing environment with ample parking. The restaurant supplied a good range of both hot and cold meals. The staff were so helpful and polite making the day out a really pleasurable experience. Children's quiz sheet brought fun for all the family. Don't forget to bring a camera.
