Silver Sands of Morar, Morar

(4.7/5 based on 180 reviews on the web)
Take a relaxing stroll along the white sands of Silver Sands of Morar. This wide shoreline features soft, pristine sand and crystal clear waters in a paradise-like combination. While shallow enough for kids to safely swim, the water can be rather cold--consequently, more walkers than swimmers frequent the beach. Also look for views out to the islands off the coast, and explore the seafood restaurants nearby that offer fresh catches of the day. • Walked out from Mallaig and it was certainly worth it. Beautiful beach with stunning views. Loads of space, ideal for kids and dog walking.  more »
  • Haven't been here for at least 25 years and still the same as I remembered it; still white. Just think if the weather could be guaranteed what would this place be like? Probably overrun and ruimed  more »
  • If you're fortunate enough to be here on a sunny day (not necesarily summer) the seas and the beach look like the belong on a Caribean island - though the temperature will be distinctly Scottish!  more »
